Now in a lot of cases, you would not even know that a car is an EV just by looking at it, but you will know if you get in one, as they are silent until you push the accelerator pedal...

If you open the hood, you will see an Electric motor and the motor controller, and in the trunk, there is a battery pack...

And that's it...

But performance wise, you will notice a big difference, because most electric vehicles are far better performers when it comes to acceleration from a standing start...

Also the cost to run the car is significantly reduced...

Because you no longer have to pull in to a gas station to fill up at $4 plus a gallon, depending on the kind of car you have, you may have to simply plug it in to recharge it!

The total cost of running an electric vehicle has to be figured with the replacement cost of batteries, which will eventually wear out...

But by that time, the cost of packs will be significantly less simply because of advances in battery technology and mass marketing...

Because the electric car and trucks, and buses, and trains, even aircraft will take over from internal combustion fossil fueled vehicles
